Abstract: The transportation around the world suffers a deep transformation due to increaseof vehicles on the streets and their pollution. So, the hypothesis of this topic is the urbantransport improvement with the most used vehicle "The bicycle". It starts from the premise ofthe bicycle’s limitations, including: the physical condition, geographical location, climate, roadsafety, accessibility, increase distance, etc., and therefore it’s proposed a hybrid system that meetsthe user’s expectations. This hybrid system is the fusion of energy, including mechanical energy(kinetic and potential) and electric energy, its operation is based on the reuse, use and storageof the energy acquired by the cyclist along the route. The prototype consists of subsystems: thekinetic energy storage, the transmission system, the kinetic energy regeneration system, electricsystem and its electronic control. The results indicate that the existents of permanent kineticenergy accumulation, allowing to route greater distances, increase speed, and a wear comfortableof the operator.
